2000's

The Industry Is Born

2012

Celluma Begins

BioPhotas founder, Patrick Johnson, pioneered the development of Celluma low-level light therapy devices.

2013

FDA Clearance Rx

Celluma receives it's first FDA clearance on an Rx basis for 6 indications including acne, muscle and joint pain, and more.

2014

FDA OTC Clearance

Celluma receives Over-The-Counter (OTC) clearances by the FDA, paving the way for selling to home users.

2015

Global Patent

US & international patents are granted to BioPhotas for Celluma’s flexible and shape-taking design characteristics.

2017

Wrinkles FDA Clearance

BioPhotas receives FDA Clearance and 8th indication for use for full face wrinkles, and patent in EU, AU, & CAN.

2019

2021

FDA Clearance: Hair Loss

Celluma receives 4th FDA clearance for treating hair loss adding a 10th indication for use.
