Celluma LED Light Therapy Contraindications
Using the natural healing powers of specific wavelengths of light, LED light therapy is non-invasive and safe for use on all skin types. However, certain medications and conditions may not be suitable or tested as effective for use. Please read these contraindications carefully to determine if LED light therapy is right for you.
Contraindications for Celluma Series
NOTE: When making changes to your health and wellness routines it may be advisable to consult with your physician before proceeding.
- Do not use over the breast or stomach of a breast-feeding or pregnant person.
- Do not use on infants or children
- Do not use if the patient or administrator has epilepsy or a history of seizures.
- Avoid using when the patient is taking cortisone injections or any other kind of steroid injection(s).
- Avoid use if the patient is using photosensitizing drugs
- Do not perform LED therapy over known cancer tumor or metastasis.
HAIR GROWTH
For the following classifications, hair growth treatments with light therapy have not been tested or FDA-cleared and may not be effective for use:
- If you are female and suffer from Ludwig-Savin classifications III, advanced.
- If you are male with androgenetic alopecia who have Norwood Hamilton Classifications I, II, Va, VI or VII.
- If you suffer from androgenetic alopecia and have Fitzpatrick skin type V-VI.
